The Baby Baker

Webinar for Surrogacy Australia (SASS).

I co-hosted a webinar for Surrogacy Australia! Wowsers!

Surrogacy Australia has a support service available, for a fee, that assists intended parents and surrogates to meet each other.

Recently I co-hosted a free webinar to share information and insight from my experience as a surrogate. I think it went well! And i’m not going to lie, it gave me a buzz! Me? A Co-Host of something? Sounds so profesh and ultra-minor-celebrity-ish!

It could all go to my head except that I look pretty average on camera. It’s chins for days sadly. At least at the moment I can use the excuse that “I have a lot of baby weight to lose”. Whose to know that me and the chins go way back…

Ok, returning to the serious stuff. The Surrogacy Australia Support Service (SASS for short) is a relatively new service and it’s the first of its kind in Australia.

The structure of the service is not going to be suitable or appealing to everyone. However, I personally think it’s great for people to have another tool in their belt when tackling the massive job of building a family through surrogacy. I’ll probably do another post down the track explaining the issues some people have around this service – the monetising of surrogacy support. And a few other grievances from what I can gather – drama!

But as I said, I’m all for more options to assist people in surrogacy. And I also just love Anna who runs the service. She is a surrogate herself, and keeps things real. She has a wealth of information in that busy head of hers. Feel free to reach out to her if you have any questions. She is really approachable.
