It’s been just over a year since I wrote my last post and I thought I’d give you all an update. Shorty after publishing it I met a lovely couple who needed a surrogate. I must admit, I’d had my eye on them for a little while, and had done much Facebook/Google/Instagram stalking of them . They were members of the Australian Surrogacy Community on Facebook, and we met at a local get together in Hobart. I instantly hit it off with them and I knew my husband would too. They’ve become good friends, and people we can rely on.
Fast forward to now, and Covid has thrown a spanner in the works (as it has for all people seeking fertility treatment). We are still progressing but with delays. It’s a bit tricky to make a baby when the eggs are still in situ in Melbourne, the sperm’s chilling on ice in Sydney, and the womb’s marooned in Hobart. But here’s hoping the stars will align and something magical happens soon. Let’s face it, this incubator isn’t getting any younger .
